OUR PROJECTS
Our projects focus on reducing human–wildlife conflict (HWC) while strengthening community livelihoods, conservation, and coexistence with wildlife.
Our main areas of work include:
- Chili-Based Human–Wildlife Conflict Mitigation – Promoting the use of chili fences, chili briquettes, and other chili-based deterrents to reduce wildlife intrusion into farms.
- Beekeeping and Beehive Fences – Establishing beehives around farms as a natural, non-lethal method for deterring elephants while creating income opportunities through honey production.
- Beehive Management and Inspection – Training communities on hive ownership, traditional and modern beehives, regular hive inspection, colony management, and safe honey harvesting.
- Api-tourism—Developing opportunities for visitors and volunteers to learn about bees, beekeeping, honey production, conservation, and community livelihoods.
- Environmental and Conservation Education – Providing education to communities, schools, and young people on wildlife conservation, environmental protection, and peaceful coexistence.
- Veterinary and Wildlife Support – Supporting community-based veterinary and animal health interventions where appropriate, particularly in areas affected by wildlife interactions.
- Community Capacity Building – Training and supporting local communities to develop practical, locally available solutions for reducing human–wildlife conflict and improving their resilience.
